Our Impact

The earthquake changed the life of every single person that experienced it. This is why we have decided to bring communities together, from Switzerland and other places around the world to Turkey, in order to make a greater positive impact on the province of Malatya.  In order to highlight our goals, we would like to put forward that our project aligns with 7 of the

We hope our impact can not only bring the Malatya province back to life again, but also take a step into building Turkey a bright future

01

Youth welfare

1000 students lost their lives from the earthquake in the province, a majority of the remaining students live a life dealing with trauma. Recovering from this traumatic experience will be difficult for these children, which is where we would like to offer our help in building them an environment that can isolate them from the ruins of their village and provide them with a just education and safe learning environment.

02

Enviromental Action

Receiving the LEED certification from the U.S Green Building Council would mean that our project has:

Local sustainable materials

Minimal transportation

Minimal electricity use for winters and heating

Renewable energy

Reusable water

Green spaces

Good air circulation

In building in a sustainable manner we wish to influence the upcoming construction projects in Malatya and Turkey to do the same.

03

Economic Benifits

We fear that the next generation in that region will not be able to meet the requirements to the jobs and studies they wish to have due to not having proper primary / high school education. Though this has a direct disadvantage to the youth, it will also impact Malatya's economy if there is a lack of people who are unable to join the workforce.  Future for Turkey will reestablish the right to equal education opportunities in rebuilding a school.

04

Connecting the World

They say " It takes a village to raise a child", however this is difficult in Malatya's case, as the villages are buried under rubble. We would like to use our connections, from being in an international school, to make our voices heard from places all over the world. So far, our project has gained support in the U.S, Switzerland and Turkey of course. Through these connections we aim that the purpose of this cause does not ever die down.
